Paris is hosting Salon du Chocolat 2009 this week and more than 400 participants will show their chocolaty inventions during this five-day festival.
I can’t really resist any piece of chocolate and I don’t think anybody can, that’s the reason chocolate sales are booming, even during these economic times. It seems that most of us turn to chocolate when in need for comfort and the industry is showing record sales.
What should you expect seeing in Salon du Chocolat? Well, for 11 years now the event opens with a chocolaty fashion show, presenting unique dresses made out of chocolate.
What else? Leonidas, the Belgian chocolatier partnered with Swarovski and created a model of the Paris Opera made of… that’s right! Chocolate.
There are also displays of chocolate shoes, chocolate seafood, and chocolate flowers and anything your sweet tooth can imagine. There are also chocolate conferences, recipe demonstration, kids workshops and even chocolate awards that will celebrate the world’s top artisan chocolate makers.
And by the way, do you really need a special reason to go to the City of Lights? All you need is a cheap flight to Europe and a passport. Oh... and you'll probably need to contact Do All Travel about that cheap flight...
